ArtVilla Academy – Workshop Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 24-08-2024

By enrolling in any workshop at ArtVilla Academy, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

These terms and conditions apply regardless of where you book your ticket—directly with us, through WhatsApp, or via any third-party platform. Some platforms may not display all our policies due to technical limitations; however, by joining the workshop, you agree to follow all rules and regulations set by us.

We believe that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. Reading the terms and conditions is solely the participant’s responsibility. In case you fail to read, access, or have knowledge of these terms, the academy will not be held responsible, as all policies are publicly available and easily accessible on our website.

Failure to read or refer to these terms and conditions does not absolve you of your responsibility to comply with them.

1. Participation & Ownership
  • All artworks are created solely by the participant, with guidance and support from our instructors.

  • ArtVilla Academy provides materials, tools, and direction but does not make or complete artwork on anyone’s behalf.

  • Attending the workshop is solely the participant’s responsibility. The academy is not liable to compensate, reschedule, or make up for the missed session in any way or form.

  • The final result in painting, sculpture, and ceramics (both before and after firing) reflects the participant’s effort, technique, and involvement. Participants are fully responsible for their own artwork and cannot hold the academy or instructors accountable for the outcome, as the same guidance is provided to all..

2. Responsibility for Outcome
  • All workshops at ArtVilla Academy are guided sessions. Instructors provide guidance, but each participant’s creativity and effort are reflected in their own artwork.

  • The final result of any artwork—whether painting, pottery, or sculpture—is solely the participant’s responsibility.

  • Painting: Variations in texture, brush strokes, and color blending are natural and reflect individual style and technique.

  • Pottery and Sculpture: The article is entirely your own creation, both before and after firing or baking. Natural outcomes such as cracks (before or after firing), breakage, color variation, or warping are common when working with clay and other natural materials.

  • The academy will not provide remakes, replacements, or refunds for such natural outcomes, and we appreciate your understanding in this regard.

3. Firing & Drying Risks (Pottery/Sculpture)
  • Firing is a delicate, irreversible process where issues like cracks or breakage may arise, especially due to moisture, poor joining, or uneven kneading.

  • If an article develops cracks before firing (either during drying or at the vendor’s location), we will inform you.

  • If feasible, we may attempt a careful repair, though this will take additional time and is not guaranteed.

  • Cracked pieces cannot be fired to avoid damaging other articles in the kiln.

  • In such cases, the piece will move to the next firing cycle, and we kindly request your patience.

  • Firing generally takes 45 days or more depending on kiln/furnace availability.

  • During the monsoon season or periods of high humidity, drying times may increase, leading to longer overall timelines. These delays are natural and unavoidable.

  • Malfunction of the furnace, climatic conditions, natural events, or unexpected issues may arise, which could cause delays.

  • In case of any delays due to furnace malfunction, climatic conditions, natural events, or unexpected issues, we will inform you in advance, as we believe in honest and transparent communication.

4. Delivery & Storage Policy
  • The firing fee covers the firing process only.

  • The academy does not provide in-house delivery. However, we’re happy to assist in connecting you to a third-party delivery partner.

  • Delivery fees must be paid directly to the third-party provider.

  • ArtVilla Academy is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage during transit.

  • If you choose not to fire your piece, please take it home the same day.

  • Unclaimed items may be considered unwanted and may be respectfully discarded.

  • Once fired, please collect your article promptly. Long-term storage is not possible, and articles may be moved to our storage facility where we cannot guarantee safety due to limited space.

5. Respectful Conduct
  • We kindly request that all participants maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.

  • Any form of misbehavior, discrimination, racism, or harassment toward instructors, team members, or fellow students will not be tolerated.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made on the day of the workshop or at the last moment will not be accepted under any circumstances. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

  • Rescheduling may be allowed only in genuine emergencies and is subject to availability and approval by the team.

  • Requests must be made at least 2 days in advance of your original date.

  • Rescheduling must take place within 7 days of the original date.

  • Once rescheduled, no further changes will be accepted under any circumstances.

  • The firing charges are non-refundable under any circumstances.
